Moderation is key when it comes to alcohol consumption, as it can have negative effects on your health. According to Andrew Huberman, “the scientific consensus is that zero alcohol consumption is the healthiest option.” Alcohol consumption can cause long-term changes in brain circuitry, but these can be reversed with abstinence for two to six months. Abstaining, altogether, can have a tremendous impact on our health. But, if we cannot, there are ways to minimize the damage that alcohol causes.
